This style has become the kerrison of choice across much of Europe due to its durable internal nickel-titanium spring, which is warranted for life. All models include an ejector to prevent the buildup of bone fragments. This kerrison is available with an upward or downward bite, in either 40° or 90° angles.
There are three footplates available―the Standard Footplate is the thickest and most durable option, making it ideal for lumbar applications. For ultra-delicate cervical applications, the Filigree Footplate is recommended. The most popular choice, however, is the moderately-sized Flat Footplate with its perfect marriage of thinness and durability.
Simply use a 3mm hex wrench, such as the sterilizable TXW-9X pictured above, to remove a single screw. The screw is reverse-threaded to prevent accidental loosening when using the kerrison.
All components come apart to allow for a deep clean. The TXW-6X fitting device is an optional tool used to hold the instrument in place during disassembly and reassembly, making the process even easier.
Unique designs such as oversized handles, bayoneted or curved shafts, or extra-long jaw length.
